Distance: 6 mi.
Notes: Please join LaGrange-area cyclists on Wednesday, May 16th in support of the Ride of Silence! We'll begin to gather in the parking lot of Saint Peter's Catholic Church at the corner of Lafayette Parkway & Highway 27 (200 LaFayette Parkway) around 6:30 PM. Shortly before 7 PM, we'll have a short program, and then be escorted 3 miles East on LaFayette Parkway by members of the LaGrange Police Department. We'll turn around at LaGrange Mall, and head back the same way to St. Peter's Church - approximately 6 miles total. In honor of our fallen riders, all participants will be silent, travel no faster than 10 MPH, and stay together as a group. The ride is free, but we do ask all participants be 18 years of age (or with a legal guardian) and wear approved safety helmets! See you there!

Macon

Contact: Rachel Holler   <--Send email
Distance: tbd
Notes: Join us for the first annual Macon Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 16 at 6 PM, sponsored by Bike Walk Macon; http://www.bikewalkmacon.com

The Ride of Silence is an important national rolling movement in memory of those we've lost on our streets. Please wear white and meet at Bike Walk Macon (338 Poplar St) for a silent ride — to remember the friends and neighbors who ride with us no more, and to celebrate the strength of our community.

The ride will feature an easy pace and distance and will be followed by light refreshments and a brief tutorial on how to maintain your bike using a public fix-it stand. Bring your helmet and lights!

This event is part of our Macon Bike Walk Month program.
