The bike will be at the corner at main park at the intersection of 194 and 184 in downtown Banner Elk all day. Please ride by, take a moment to honor those lost and take a selfie of yourself with the bike and post on social media. please tag picture with cycle 4 life and we will post them all together.

Notes: This slow-paced, annual ride will be conducted differently this year in order to comply with NC COVID-19 regulations:

Participants must preregister online in order to participate to keep the number of participants at or below the number required by NC law: https://bikegso.org/Ride-of-Silence
Two staggered start times with a 100 person limit set for each ride.
The groups will not be escorted by the Greensboro Police this year due to the necessity of having more than one start time. Traffic laws at intersections will apply.
Ride support will ensure that no one is left behind.
Masks are required for the proceedings before each ride.
A signed liability waiver & helmet is required for all participants. Rides depart 6:30PM and 7PM sharp. Participants are encouraged to come 30 minutes before their ride time. Children are welcome but need to be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

Notes: Pending city approval of the parade permit-we will be hosting our annual Ride of Silence Memorial & Advocacy ride at a new start point this year. Gather at 6pm at the Greenville Bike Shop on Clark St. (No cost city parking nearby on Dickinson starts at 6) and we'll roll out at 6:30 with an aim to return to the start by 7:45 after riding 11 miles silently as an escorted group. Helmets are required; Lights strongly encouraged; Current COVID pandemic gathering rules apply; potential safe social gathering outside at Pitt St Brewery planned-weather permitting. Join us as we remember those who have been hurt or killed while riding and advocate for safer, accessible roads for all.

Notes: Join us for an 8 mile ride at Southport's River Front Park May 19th, 7:00 PM, to honor bicyclist Mitchell Wayne Griffith. His life was cut short at age 67, by a hit and run car accident February 7, 2021.
