We ride to Remember, Honor & Celebrate cyclists that have been hit or killed while riding their bicycles. We will REMEMBER with announcements at 6:50pm. We will HONOR by riding at 7pm. The new route is 5 miles and will be completed in silence at a slow pace. We will start and finish at Blue Blaze Brewing. Post ride CELEBRATION of life immediately following the ride. Make plans now to join us on May 16th. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent at all times during the ride. Lights are recommended. We will ride rain or shine.

Notes: Join us for a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. The Ride of Silence is an international, slow-roll memorial ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no registration fees. We will be meeting in downtown Durham at the Bull statue and the 4 mile route will run through town to raise public awareness of cyclist fatalities and injuries.

Memorial for our fallen riders in Durham and in our hearts starts at 7:00 pm at the Bull Statue in CCB Plaza.

The Ride of Silence is a silent, slow paced bike ride in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
