Distance: 8 Miles
Notes: This ride is hosted by The Downshifters, a Shawnee social ride group that meets weekly on Wednesday evenings.

We will depart from in front of spOKeLAHOMA at 113 North Bell at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Please be ready to roll out at that time.

This will be an 8-Mile SILENT ride. Please do not play music or cell phones, and plan to communicate during the ride with hand signals.

This is a no-drop ride with a maximum 12 mph speed limit. Designated pace setters will manage the speed. Think reflective memorial procession rather than a fitness event.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS. Absolutely no exceptions. Lights are recommended.

Black armbands are encouraged to honor those who have been killed by vehicles while cycling. Red armbands may be worn by those who have been injured by vehicles while cycling.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This ride is open to all area cyclists and cycling groups. There is no charge to participate. Groups who wish to ride the beginning of the route and split off later for longer rides are also welcomed.
